Features of the body device

The body of the Chevrolet Niva car is a five-door, load-bearing structure, all-metal, welded. Front and rear doors with front hinges, with sliding windows. Tailgate - hinged with left-hand hinges.

The interior of the car is equipped with two rows of seats. front seats (see fig. 8-25) have adjustment in the longitudinal direction and on an inclination of a back. The seat headrests are height and tilt adjustable. To increase the area of the luggage compartment, it is possible to stow the rear seat. The driver and passenger seats are equipped with seat belts.

The body is equipped with a dashboard, a cigarette lighter, ashtrays, a glove box, sun visors, a heating and ventilation system, internal and external rear-view mirrors, front and rear lugs for towing a car, aprons for the front and rear wheels.

Ventilation and heating of the passenger compartment is carried out by outside air, which enters the passenger compartment through the heater. The system of dampers and air ducts provides the supply of cold and heated air to the windshield, to the central part of the cabin and to the driver's and passengers' feet.
