Set the gear lever to the neutral position.
In the engine bay..
... with a "14" head, we loosen the bolt of the terminal connection of the control rod with the tip.
Inside the car…
... overcoming the resistance of the latches of the frame for fastening the gear lever cover..
... remove the frame together with the cover from the lining of the floor tunnel, turning the cover inside out.
We combine the holes in the plastic stop of the gear lever and the housing of the control mechanism.
We fix the position of the lever with a mandrel or a drill shank with a diameter of 5.0 mm, passing through the holes in the lever stop and the control mechanism housing.
In the engine compartment, remove the plug from the hole in the cover of the gearshift mechanism (for clarity shown on the removed gearbox).
Turn the gear shift shaft counterclockwise until the mandrel (e.g. drill shank) with a diameter of 5.0 mm will not go into the hole until it stops.
In this position of the control rod and the tip of the gear change mechanism, we tighten the bolt of the terminal connection to a torque of 15 Nm.
Having removed the mandrels from the holes, we check the clarity of the gears.
Repeat the adjustment if necessary.
Further assembly is carried out in the reverse order.
