Relieve pressure in the power system (see Fuel filter replacement).
A special tool must be used to remove the pressure pipe tip from the fuel rail fitting.
Its 1 working parts allow you to release (unclench) metal spring holders for the tip of the discharge tube.
In the absence of a special tool, we make a device from a piece of a metal or plastic tube with an inner diameter of 8.0–8.5 mm and an outer diameter of 11.5–12.2 mm.
Cut the tube lengthwise into two halves.
For example, you can make a fixture from a metal wheel valve cap by sawing off its nose and cutting it in half.
Or, for example, a fixture made from a piece of pipe of a suitable diameter.
We put the halves of the device on the fitting of the fuel rail and insert them into the tip of the fuel pipe.
Using the pliers, we push the device inside the tip of the tube..
... and remove the tip of the tube from the fuel rail fitting.
Lift up the injector wiring harness retainer..
... remove the block from the nozzle.
Similarly, we disconnect the blocks of the wiring harness of the engine control system from other injectors.
Remove the hose from the fuel pressure regulator fitting.
We squeeze the petals of the retainer of the tip of the drain pipe and remove the tip of the tube from the regulator nozzle.
Using the "12" head, unscrew the two bolts securing the fuel rail to the intake manifold.
Pulling the fuel rail along the axes of the injectors, remove the rail, removing the injectors from the intake manifold holes.
To remove the fuel injector..
... pry off the latch with a slotted screwdriver..
...and take it off.
Remove the injector tip from the fuel rail hole.
Taking off the top..
... and the lower rubber o-rings from the nozzle tips.
Remove the rest of the injectors in the same way.
We replace the sealing rings of the injectors with new ones.
Before installing the injectors into the rail and intake manifold, apply a thin layer of engine oil to the o-rings.
We assemble and install the fuel rail with injectors in the reverse order.
