Removing the idle speed control

Remove the idle speed regulator for inspection and replacement.

With the ignition off, depressing the latch..



... disconnect the block of the wiring harness of the engine management system from the regulator connector.



Using a Phillips screwdriver, unscrew the two screws securing the regulator to the throttle assembly..



... and remove the regulator from the throttle assembly socket.



The connection of the regulator with the throttle assembly is sealed with a rubber ring.

Before installing the idle speed controller, we clean the valve seat, air channel and the surface under the sealing ring in the throttle assembly.

We apply a thin layer of engine oil to the new O-ring of the regulator.

Install the idle speed controller in reverse order.
