If the canister is damaged or overfilled, the engine may become unstable at idle and stop, an increased content of harmful substances in the exhaust gases, as well as a decrease in fuel efficiency and a deterioration in the driving performance of the car.
The adsorber is installed under the bottom at the rear of the car.
With the "10" head, we unscrew the bolt securing the adsorber to the bracket of the bottom of the body..
... and, moving the adsorber along the guides, we lower it.
Using a Phillips screwdriver, unscrew the six screws securing the casing cover..
... and remove the cover.
Squeezing the latches, disconnect from the fitting the tip of the tube for removing fuel vapor from the adsorber to the purge solenoid valve.
Similarly, we disconnect from the other fitting the tip of the vapor supply pipe to the adsorber from the fuel tank.
Using pliers, loosen the atmospheric tube clamp and remove it from the adsorber fitting.
We remove the adsorber from the protective casing.
We install the adsorber in the reverse order.
