The expansion tank is removed for replacement.
If there is coolant in the expansion tank, we pump it out with a rubber bulb with a hose.
Using pliers, we compress the clamp for fastening the fluid outlet hose from the throttle assembly heating unit and slide the clamp down the hose.
Remove the hose from the expansion tank.
Similarly, remove the steam outlet hose of the radiator..
...and the filler hose of the expansion tank.
We recommend plugging the inlet hose after removal to avoid leakage of coolant.
With a "10" head, we unscrew the two nuts securing the tank to the body bracket..
... and remove the expansion tank.
Install the tank in reverse order.
When installing the reservoir, the lower mounting bracket of its body must engage with the holder attached to the body.
Pour coolant into the tank and bring its level to normal (see Coolant replacement).
