Springs should only be replaced in pairs.
We show the removal on the left spring, remove the right spring in the same way.
We unscrew and take out the bolt of the lower shock absorber mounting to the rear suspension beam arm (see Removing the rear shock absorber).
We derive the lower end of the shock absorber from the beam bracket.
We hang out both rear wheels of the car and securely fix it on the factory-made support racks.
Most often, when removing the rear suspension springs, special devices are used - the so-called couplers.
In this case, the spring can be removed without the use of ties.
This may require an assistant.
We insert a mounting spatula or a strong rod into the bracket of the lower shock absorber mounting and pressing the beam lever down..
... remove the spring along with the top rubber gasket.
When performing this operation, it is necessary to monitor the tension of the rear brake hose.
If, when trying to dismantle the spring, the hose is very tight, it is necessary to disconnect its lower tip from the brake pipe and the beam bracket (see Rear wheel brake hose replacement).
Remove the lower rubber gasket from the beam bracket.
Remove the top gasket from the spring.
A plastic cover is glued to the second turn from below.
If the gaskets are damaged, replace them with new ones.
Before mounting the spring, install the top gasket on it.
Then, so that the top gasket does not move when mounting the spring, we attach it to the spring with tape or electrical tape.
Install the bottom gasket.
For ease of installation of the spring, we moisten the bottom gasket with soapy water.
Pressing the beam lever down, we put the upper end of the spring with the gasket on the protrusion of the body bracket.
We carry out further assembly of the rear suspension in the reverse order.
