Loosen the wheel bolts.
With a beard we straighten the belt of the front wheel hub bearing nut jammed in two places.
We fix the car with a parking brake, turn on the first gear and substitute stops under the rear wheels.
Using the "32" head, unscrew the hub bearing nut...... and remove the nut.
Remove the washer with a screwdriver.
Hang the front of the car and remove the wheel.
Remove the brake pad guide with caliper and brake disc (see Front wheel brake disc replacement).
Disconnect the ball joint of the front suspension arm from the steering knuckle (see Removing the front suspension arm) and remove the shank of the outer hinge of the wheel drive from the hole in the front hub (see Removing the front wheel drive).
Install the ball joint pin of the front suspension arm in place (in the steering knuckle) and fasten with a nut.
We rest with a soft metal drift against the end of the hub (on the inside of the steering knuckle).
Uniformly turning the hub, we strike through the drift into the end of the hub..
... and knock it out of the bearing.
Squeeze the retaining ring with pliers and remove it.
We install the bearing cup puller in such a way that from the inside of the steering knuckle the washer of the puller bolt presses on the inner ring of the bearing,..
... and the puller cup rested on the end of the steering knuckle from the outside.
Press the bearing into the puller cup.
Almost always, when the hub is pressed out, the inner race of the bearing remains on it, which is difficult to remove due to the tight fit on the hub.
We clamp the hub in a vise.
By striking with a hammer on the chisel, we shift the bearing ring on the hub.
We insert two mounting blades into the resulting gap and press the bearing ring.
If necessary, we clean the nicks on the hub with a needle file.
We clean and lubricate the hole of the steering knuckle under the bearing.
Pressing in a new bearing..
... install the puller in such a way that the washer of the puller bolt presses from the outside of the steering knuckle onto the outer ring of the bearing,..
... and the puller cup rested on the end of the steering knuckle from its inside.
After pressing the bearing, install the retaining ring in place.
We install the hub in the bearing hole..
... and press it in with a puller, leaning from the inside of the steering knuckle with a bolt through a washer onto the inner ring of the bearing.
Further assembly is carried out in the reverse order.
We tighten the bearing nut to the prescribed torque and be sure to lock it by jamming the collar.
