Remove the parking brake lever to replace it.
We show the replacement of the left cable.
Cables should be replaced at the same time - left and right.
Removing the rear lining of the floor tunnel (see Removing the lining of the floor tunnel).
Lower the parking brake lever to its lowest position.
Loosen the tension on the front cable..
... by unscrewing the adjusting nut with the "10" wrench, not completely.
Under the car..
... with a "10" head, unscrew the four nuts securing the heat shield.
We pry off the suspension cushion of the exhaust system with a screwdriver and, leaning with a screwdriver on the bracket of the additional muffler..
... we take it out of the pillow hole.
Similarly, we derive the bracket from the other pillow.
We lower the heat shield onto the additional muffler and move it forward so that the front parking brake cable and equalizer are visible.
The cables in front of the guide bushings, welded to the bracket of the bottom of the body, are crossed.
We derive the front end of the cable from the equalizer slot.
Using a screwdriver, pry off the shoulder of the tip of the cable sheath..
... and remove it from the guide sleeve.
Using the "10" wrench, we unscrew the nuts securing the two brackets that support the cable.
Using the same tool, unscrew the nut that secures the bracket to the inside of the left threshold.
With the same tool, unscrew the nut that secures the bracket to the rear suspension arm.
Removing the brake drum (see Replacing the brake pads of the rear wheels).
From the inside of the shield of the brake mechanism, with a screwdriver, pry off the fixing bracket of the rear tip of the cable sheath..
...and take it out.
Using a screwdriver, push the parking brake lever forward and disconnect the rear end of the left cable from it.
We remove the tip of the cable from the hole in the shield of the brake mechanism..
...and take it off.
Similarly, remove the right cable of the parking cable.
We install the cables in the reverse order.
After replacing the cables, adjust the parking brake (see Parking brake adjustment).
To remove the parking brake lever, remove the rear lining of the floor tunnel (see Removing the lining of the floor tunnel).
Lower the parking brake lever to its lowest position.
Key "10" (see above) …
... completely unscrew the adjusting nut from the tip of the front cable..
... and take it out of the lever hole..
Loosen the screw securing the parking brake switch.
With the "12" head, we unscrew the two bolts securing the base of the lever to the body..
... and remove it from the floor tunnel.
Flip the lever..
... with a large screwdriver we bend the antennae and remove the cable from under it.
Remove the parking brake lever.
Install the parking brake lever in reverse order.

To remove the front cable, remove the parking brake lever (see above).
Disconnect the front ends of the cables from the equalizer (see above).
We take out the front cable through the dirt cover in the floor tunnel.
Install the removed parts in reverse order.
