Removing the left front fender (see Removing mudguards and front fenders)
We mark the position of the lock relative to the radiator frame.
Using the "10" head, unscrew the three bolts securing the hood lock to the radiator frame.
We remove the tip of the sheath of the lock drive cable from the holder on the lock body and the tip of the cable from the groove of the lock lever.
Remove the hood latch.
Remove the hood latch handle (see Removing the instrument panel) and remove it from under the instrument panel.
We bring the cable through the slot at the base of the handle.
We disconnect the tip of the hood lock drive cable from the handle lever and remove the handle.
Squeezing the shank of the cable sheath holder with pliers, we remove the holder from the hole in the left rack of the radiator frame
Similarly, we remove the cable sheath holder from the hole in the upper cross member of the radiator frame.
We pull the cable into the salon.
Install the cable and lock in reverse order.
Before installation..
... we recommend applying an anaerobic thread lock to the threaded part of the hood lock bolts in order to avoid their arbitrary self-loosening.
