In the engine bay..
... with pliers we open the clamp that secures the hose for supplying the working fluid to the clutch master cylinder..
... remove the hose from the cylinder pipe, raise and fix the hose so that its end is above the reservoir of the brake and clutch hydraulic drives.
Using a special "10" wrench for fittings of brake pipes, we unscrew the fitting of the pipe for supplying working fluid to the clutch slave cylinder.
... and remove the tip of the tube from the hole in the clutch master cylinder.
Inside the car…
... with pliers we remove the locking bracket of the finger of the pusher fork of the clutch master cylinder (instrument panel trim and steering column removed for clarity).
For clarity, we show the operation on the dismantled clutch pedal assembly.
We take out the finger.
With a "13" head with an extension, we unscrew the two nuts securing the clutch master cylinder housing to the pedal assembly bracket..
... remove the cylinder from the bracket studs and bring the pusher through the hole in the front end shield.
Loosen the locknut on the push rod (see Clutch pedal stroke adjustment) …
... unscrew the pusher fork.
We remove the duster.
We assemble and install the clutch master cylinder in reverse order. We pump the hydraulic drive (see Clutch bleeding). If necessary, adjust the free travel of the clutch pedal (see Clutch pedal stroke adjustment).
