We carry out the work when replacing the main cylinder of the hydraulic clutch or its pusher, the clutch pedal.
We measure clutch pedal free play, which should be from 6 to 12 mm (before measuring the hydraulic clutch must be pumped). To do this, in the passenger compartment of the car, lightly press the clutch pedal with your hand and measure its stroke until resistance to the movement of the pedal appears. If the free play of the clutch pedal does not correspond to the required value, then it must be adjusted.
In the passenger compartment, use the "12" key to loosen the lock nut, holding the "14" key from turning the nut of the pusher fork of the clutch master cylinder (for clarity, shown on the dismantled clutch master cylinder).
Holding the pusher fork nut with the "14" wrench, with the "7" wrench we rotate the pusher rod by the flats, adjusting the pedal free play.
After adjustment, tighten the locknut.
With a good clutch, the full travel of the pedal against the floor mat should be 130–140 mm.
A significant deviation of the full pedal travel from the specified value with obvious signs of improper clutch operation indicates damage to the clutch elements or its drive
