Removing the electronic control unit

We remove the electronic engine control unit for replacement or when performing vehicle repair operations related to the possibility of harming the electronic components of the unit (e.g. when drying a car in a drying chamber after painting, etc.).

Removing the battery (see Removing the battery).



We pull forward the clamp of the block of the wiring harness of the engine management system..



... and disconnect the wiring harness block from the control unit connector.



With a "10" head, we unscrew the three nuts securing the block to the bracket..



... and remove the control unit.

Install the electronic control unit in reverse order.
