Removing the crankshaft position sensor

We remove the sensor for inspection or replacement, as well as when repairing the engine.

With the ignition off..



... we press the spring latch of the engine management system wiring harness block and disconnect the block from the sensor wiring block.



With a "5" hexagon, we unscrew the screw securing the sensor to the cylinder block.



We take out the sensor from the socket in the cylinder block.

The connection is sealed with a rubber ring, which is better to replace with a new one during installation.

Install the crankshaft position sensor in reverse order.
