With the ignition off, by pressing the spring retainer of the engine control wiring harness block..
... we disconnect the blocks of the wiring harness of the engine management system and the wiring harness of the knock sensor.
Using the "14" head with an extension, unscrew the bolt securing the sensor to the cylinder block (for clarity, we show the operation with the intake manifold removed) …
... and remove the sensor.
Before installation, we clean the tide of the cylinder block under the knock sensor. Install the knock sensor in reverse order. Tighten the sensor mounting bolt to the prescribed torque.
