Replacing the accessory drive belt tensioner pulley

The roller of the automatic tensioner of the auxiliary drive belt is changed when the roller bearing fails.

We remove the tensioner for replacement if its mechanism malfunctions, as well as when repairing the engine.

Remove the accessory drive belt (see Accessory drive belt replacement).



From the bottom of the car, with a "14" ring wrench, unscrew the bolt securing the tensioner roller.



Remove bolt and washer..



…and filming a video.

To remove the tensioner..



... with a "14" head, unscrew the bolt of the upper fastening..



... and with a "14" ring spanner - a bolt for the lower fastening of the device to the bracket.



We remove the tensioner.

Install the tensioner and roller in reverse order.
