For the convenience of dismantling the engine, remove the hood (see Removing the hood).
Relieve pressure in the engine power system (see Fuel filter replacement).
Disconnect the fuel supply hose from the fuel rail fitting (see Removing the fuel rail and injectors).
Disconnect the wire terminal from the "negative" terminal of the battery. Draining oil from the engine (see Changing engine oil and oil filter) and coolant (see Coolant replacement).
Disconnect the intermediate pipe from the catalytic converter of the exhaust system (see Removing the intermediate pipe).
Disconnect the tip of the throttle cable from the throttle assembly sector (see Throttle Cable Replacement). Removing the air filter (see Removing the air filter).
Disconnect the hose of the vacuum brake booster and the tube of the receiver of the system for changing the length of the intake tract from the fittings of the intake pipeline (see Removal of the inlet pipeline). We disconnect the tube of the solenoid valve from the pneumatic actuator of the system for changing the length of the intake tract (see Removal of the inlet pipeline).
We disconnect the outlet hose of the radiator of the cooling system and the inlet hose of the expansion tank from the nozzles of the inlet pipe of the coolant pump.
Disconnect the radiator inlet hose from the thermostat cover (see Removing and checking the thermostat).
Disconnect the hoses from the heater radiator pipes (see Removing the heater).
We disconnect the tips of the "positive" wires from the two leads of the starter and the tips of the "negative" wires from the lower starter mounting bolt (see Removing the starter). Disconnect the tip of the "positive" wire from the output of the generator and the block of wires from its connector (see Removing the generator).
Disconnect the wiring harness blocks from the injectors; ignition coils; valves: canister purge, exhaust gas recirculation, systems for changing the length of the intake tract; sensors: throttle position, crankshaft position, phases, oxygen concentration, absolute air pressure, intake air temperature, coolant temperature, knock, speed, oil pressure, reverse light, coolant pressure.
Disconnect the filling hose and the discharge line from the power steering pump (see Removing the power steering pump).
On vehicles with power steering that provides variable gain, disconnect the wire block from the pump valve.
It is possible to dismantle the engine assembly with or without an air conditioning compressor by unscrewing the bolts securing the compressor to the bracket for auxiliary units (without opening the refrigerant inlet and outlet lines) and fixing the compressor with tubes away from the engine.
We show the removal of the engine assembly with the air conditioning compressor.
Disconnect the wiring harness from the A/C compressor (see Removing the air conditioning compressor).
Removing the gearbox (see Removing the gearbox). After dismantling the gearbox, the engine supports the stop from below.
We take the wiring harnesses away from the engine.
We fix the chain of the lifting device for two eyelets located on the engine. Having pulled the chain, remove the bracket of the right support of the power unit (see Replacing power unit supports).
Before removing the engine from the engine compartment, it is necessary to check once again whether all hoses, tubes, wiring harnesses are disconnected from the engine and set aside.
Using a lifting device, lift and remove the engine from the engine compartment.
We install the engine on the car in reverse order.
