If the vehicle is operated in dusty areas or low fuel quality, the filter must be changed more frequently.
The fuel filter is located under the bottom of a body on the right before a fuel tank.
The fuel in the engine power system is under pressure.
Therefore, before servicing the fuel system, it is necessary to relieve fuel pressure. To do this, with the ignition off..
... remove the fuel pump fuse from the mounting block in the engine compartment (Ef18).
We start the engine and let it idle until it stops due to running out of fuel in the system. Then we turn on the starter for 2–3 s. As a result, the pressure in the fuel system will be relieved.
Disconnect the "ground" wire from the terminal on the fuel filter housing.
With a key or a "10" head, we unscrew the coupling bolt of the mounting clamp.
We remove the wire.
Remove the protective cover.
With the end of the screwdriver, we put forward the latch from the tip of the fuel pipe..
... and remove the tip of the white tube.
We squeeze the "antennae" of the plastic retainer of the fuel pipe tip..
... and remove the black tube tip from the filter fitting.
Remove the fuel filter from the bracket.
Install the filter in reverse order.
We put the tips of the fuel pipes on the filter fittings until the latches snap into place. After installing the fuel pump fuse, turn on the ignition and check the tightness of the connections.
