Replacing the filter of the heating, ventilation and air conditioning system

The filter of the air entering through the heating, ventilation and air conditioning system into the car interior (cabin filter), must be replaced every 15 thousand kilometers. When operating the car in a dusty area, the mileage between element replacements should be reduced by 1.5–2 times. A deformed or damaged element must be replaced regardless of mileage.

The filter cover is located in the passenger compartment behind the glove box above the front passenger's feet.

It is more convenient to replace the filter with the glove box removed (see Removing the glove box).



key (head) "7" or a Phillips screwdriver, unscrew the four screws securing the filter cover..



... and remove the cover from the air conditioner housing.



We extend the filter from the air conditioner housing until it stops against the carpeted floor..



... and add the filter along the technological sections of its frame (for clarity, shown on the removed filter).



We completely remove the filter from the air conditioner housing.

Install the new filter in reverse order.
