If the car is not equipped with a central locking mechanism, two identical keys 1 are included with it. If the car is equipped with a central lock, a key 2 with a central locking remote control and a regular key 1 are included with it.
A set of keys to the car: 1 - standard key; 2 - the key of a car equipped with a central lock; 3 - metal plate with the serial number of the set of keys
A set of keys for each specific car is accompanied by a metal plate with the serial number of the pair of keys stamped on it, according to which, in case of loss of the keys, a new set can be made.
One of the keys as a spare together with the plate is recommended to be stored separately in a safe place outside the vehicle.
Key with remote control has a battery (inside). If the battery is discharged, it is impossible to control the central lock remotely from the key remote. To restore this function, the battery must be replaced. But when it is discharged, you can use this key in the same way as a regular one.
To lock the driver's door, insert the key into the keyhole and turn 1/8 turn clockwise.
To unlock the driver's door, turn the key 1/8 turn counterclockwise.
For locking the trunk lid (sedan) and tailgate (hatchback, station wagon) turn the key 1/8 turn counterclockwise (for unlocking - vice versa) If the car is equipped with central locking, then unlocking the driver's door with the key will unlock all the locks of all doors, as well as the lock of the tailgate (hatchback, station wagon). If on such a vehicle only the tailgate is unlocked with the key, the passenger doors will remain locked.
To open the tailgate, unlock the tailgate and pull up on the handle located under the edge of the door panel above the license plate, the door will open. To close, lower the door and close it with some force. Do not close the door while holding the key, it may break.
To open the trunk lid (sedan) unlock it - it will open. Close the lid with some force to close.
The central locking remote control built into the key works from a distance of about 6 m. The buttons located on the remote control perform the following functions.
The key of a car equipped with a central lock with remote control: 1 - central lock lock button; 2 - button for unlocking the central lock; 3 - LED; 4 - button to turn on the alarm signal - flashing turn signals (hatchback)
On sedan and station wagons, button 4 can have other functions.
LED 3 on the remote key flashes red when any of the buttons is pressed. This indicates that the battery is sufficiently charged. If the car is not equipped with a central locking function, turning the key in the door keyhole will unlock only that particular door.
From the inside, the car doors can be locked by pressing the button located on the top of the door lining panel all the way. Pull the button up to unlock. If the vehicle is not equipped with a central locking function, pulling the driver's door button will only unlock that particular door.
Door lock button (doors) in extended position
Next to the lock button on the driver's door there is an LED that flashes red if, when the key is turned in the ignition switch to the START position, the immobilizer system does not recognize the electronic key code and the engine does not start.
The lock of any of the passenger doors can be blocked if the other doors are open. To do this, lower the lock button and slam the door. This does not apply to the driver's door - it can only be locked with a key from the outside.
On a vehicle with central locking, pulling the driver's door lock button will unlock all vehicle doors, including the tailgate (hatchback, station wagon).
On sedan vehicles, an additional central locking/unlocking button can be installed on the driver's door trim panel. Also on sedans, a power trunk release button can be installed.

Internal door handle
Only this particular door can be opened with the inside handle. If the car doors are locked with the central lock, they cannot be opened using the inside handles.
In the rear doors of all vehicle modifications, a lock is provided, which can be used when driving with children or in other cases when conventional locking cannot provide sufficient protection against unwanted opening of the doors from inside the car.
Lever for locking the inner handle of the rear door
When the lock is on (see the pictogram on the door next to the lever) This door can only be opened from outside the vehicle. To unlock the hood lock, pull the handle towards you until a characteristic click is heard.
Location of the hood release handle
To open the hood, lift it by the front edge with one hand, and with the other, press the safety hook lever located on the inside of the front of the hood approximately in the middle (above the Chevrolet emblem on the grille).

To close the hood, simply lower it to a height of approximately 200-300 mm and slam it shut. It is not recommended to close the hood by pressing on its outer panel - this can damage it.
When closing (slamming) hood, the handle for unlocking its lock will automatically return to its original position.
