Removing the Front Audio Speakers

We are working on replacing speakers.

The woofers are installed in the front doors, while the tweeters are located in the decorative frames of the interior door handles.

To replace the tweeter, remove the decorative frame of the inner door handle (see Removal of an upholstery of a forward door).



Using a Phillips screwdriver, unscrew the two screws securing the speaker.



Remove the tweeter from the frame of the inner handle.

Install the tweeter in reverse order.

To replace the woofer, remove the upholstery of the front door (see Removal of an upholstery of a forward door).



By pressing the lock of the wiring harness block, we disconnect it from the speaker wiring block.



Using a Phillips screwdriver, unscrew the four screws securing the speaker.



We remove the speaker with a spacer.



Using a Phillips screwdriver, unscrew the two screws, and remove the speaker from the spacer.



Remove the speaker wire block from the spacer.

Install the subwoofer in reverse order.
