We remove the hub when replacing the wheel stud, as well as to replace the hub itself if its bearing or wheel speed sensor fails.
Hang and remove the wheel.
We securely fix the car on a factory-made stand. Removing the rear brake disc (see Removing the rear wheel brake disc).
Pulling on the latch of the wheel speed sensor wiring harness block, disconnect the block from the sensor connector.
With a spanner wrench or a "14" head, we unscrew the four bolts securing the hub to the rear suspension knuckle.
We take out the hub and fix the shield by inserting two hub mounting bolts into the corresponding holes in the fist and shield.
Leaning the hub flange on the vise jaws, with a hammer we knock out the failed pin from the hub hole.
Press the new stud into the hole in the hub.
Install the hub in reverse order.
Before tightening the hub mounting bolts, we apply a fixing sealant to their threaded part.
Tighten the hub mounting bolts to the prescribed torque.
