Removing the interior front door handle

We remove the inner handle for replacement or when removing the entire door lock mechanism.

Removing the front door trim (see Removal of an upholstery of a forward door). In this case, the moisture-proof film can only be peeled off from the top of the door.



Using a Phillips screwdriver, unscrew the self-tapping screw securing the handle to the inner panel of the door. We remove the hooks of the handle from the slots of the door panel and remove the handle.



Loosen the tie rod with a screwdriver



and remove the inner handle.

Install the inner handle in reverse order.
