The front wheel speed sensor is installed in the front suspension steering knuckle hole.
Follow the steps below to replace the sensor.
1. Disconnect the wire from the terminal «minus» battery.
2. Remove the wheel from the intended replacement side.
3. Remove the front wheel liner (see «Removal and installation of fender liner»).
4. Turn out the screw of fastening of the gauge of frequency of rotation of a wheel...
5.... and remove the sensor from the mounting hole in the steering knuckle of the front suspension.
6. Pull out the latch...
7.... and disconnect the sensor wiring harness pads on the front suspension subframe.
8. Disconnect the wiring harness from the retaining clip and remove it along with the sensor.
9. Similarly replace the sensor of frequency of rotation of a forward wheel from the opposite side.
10. Install the front wheel speed sensor in the reverse order of removal.
Warnings: When installing the transducer, align the hole on the transducer body with the threaded hole in the knuckle exactly. During installation, do not rotate the sensor around the longitudinal axis. An increase in resistance to the movement of the sensor should be felt only the last 2 mm before it is fully seated in the fist. If the sensor with high resistance enters the knuckle hole from the very beginning of the installation, remove the sensor and eliminate the cause of the jam (dirt, burr on the body, etc.). It is strictly forbidden to press in the front wheel speed sensor with a hammer.
The rear wheel speed sensor is installed in the brake caliper bracket hole.
To replace it, follow the steps below.
1. Disconnect the wire from the terminal «minus» battery.
2. Remove the wheel from the intended replacement side.
3. Remove the rear wheel liner (see «Removal and installation of fender liner»).
4. Turn out the screw of fastening of the gauge...
5.... and remove it from the hole in the brake caliper matte.
6. Remove the wiring harness from the retainer on the rear suspension bracket.
7. Remove the wiring harness from the retainer on the car body.
8. Press the clamp of the wiring harness block...
9.... and disconnect the rear wheel speed sensor wiring harness connectors.
10. Remove the rear wheel speed sensor.
11. Similarly replace the sensor of frequency of rotation of a back wheel from the opposite side.
12. Install the rear wheel speed sensor in the reverse order of removal.
Warning: When installing the sensor, align the hole on the sensor housing exactly with the threaded hole in the brake caliper bracket. During installation, do not rotate the sensor around the longitudinal axis. An increase in resistance to the movement of the sensor should only be felt for the last 2 mm before it is fully seated in the bracket. If a sensor with high resistance enters the hole in the bracket from the very beginning of the installation, remove it and eliminate the cause of the jam (dirt, burr on the body, etc.). It is strictly forbidden to press in the rear wheel speed sensor with a hammer.
