Replacing the cabin air filter

The manufacturer prescribes to replace the cabin filter of the heating and air conditioning system after 50 thousand kilometers or every 2 years (whichever comes first).

The filter cover is located at the bottom of the instrument panel on the passenger side.

You will need a flat blade screwdriver.

1. Disconnect the wire from the terminal «minus» battery.



2. Remove the glove box (see «Removal and installation of the instrument panel»).



3. Press the latch of the filter compartment cover...



4....and open the lid.



5. Pry up the edge of the filter element...



6.... and remove the filter element by pulling it into the passenger compartment.



7. Install the new filter element and the removed instrument panel parts in reverse order.
