Cleaning and checking thrust washer and bearing

1. Check thrust ring for signs of wear or damage. Replace thrust rings that are worn or damaged.





2. Check the condition of all thrust bearings, input shaft bearing and output shaft bearing. Wash bearings thoroughly in cleaning solvent. Blow out the bearings with compressed air. Lubricate bearings with light oil. Check the bearings for unevenness by slowly rotating the race by hand.

Important: Avoid rapid rotation of the bearings. Slowly rotate the bearings by hand. Rapid rotation of the bearings can damage the rollers.
