Cleaning and checking the synchronizer

1. Clean the synchronizer with cleaning solvent.

2. Dry the components with a jet of air.

3. Check the synchronizer teeth for the following conditions:

• wear
• jamming
• dents
• badass
• Destruction

4. Check cotters or springs for the following conditions:

• wear
• cracks
• Deformation
• Replace the synchronizer if the following conditions apply.
