Removal procedure
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the decorative engine cover. See Part 1C2, "The mechanical part of the engine is HFV6 3.2L.
3. Disconnect wiring harness connector (1) from solenoid valve (2) purge adsorber SUPS.
4. Disconnect the two EVAP canister purge hoses (3 and 4).
5. Move the EVAP canister purge valve (1) from the canister purge valve mounting bracket (2).
6. If necessary, functionally test the EVAP canister purge valve as follows:
- Try to blow air through the inlet (1) EVAP adsorber purge valve. If air passes through the valve, then the valve is defective and must be replaced.
Installation procedure
1. Slide the EVAP canister purge valve onto the canister purge valve mounting bracket.
2. Connect two EVAP canister purge hoses (3 and 4).
3. Connect wiring harness connector (1) to the EVAP canister purge valve (2).
