Removal procedure
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Disconnect intake manifold geometry change solenoid valve connector (IMTC).
3. Remove the upper intake manifold assembly. See Part 1C2, "The mechanical part of the engine is HFV6 3.2L.
4. Remove the three bolts securing the IMTC solenoid valve to the upper intake manifold.
5. Remove the IMTC solenoid valve from the upper intake manifold by first turning the solenoid valve to release it and then pulling it away from the manifold.
Installation procedure
1. Install the IMTC solenoid valve to the upper intake manifold.
Attention! Before tightening the fixing screw to the specified torque, check that the IMTC solenoid valve is fully inserted.
Tighten
Tighten intake manifold solenoid valve screws to 10 Nm (89 lb-in).
2. Install the upper intake manifold. See Part 1C2, "The mechanical part of the engine is HFV6 3.2L.
3. Connect the IMTC solenoid valve connector.
