Engine does not start — crankshaft does not turn

Cause	elimination
Stuck accessory drive system component.	Remove accessory drive belts. Turn the crankshaft by hand, holding the pulley or flywheel.
Hydraulically locked cylinder. Coolant/antifreeze has entered the cylinder There is oil in the cylinder Fuel entered the cylinder	Remove spark plugs and check for fluid. Check if the cylinder head gasket is damaged. Carefully inspect the engine block or cylinder head for cracks. Check fuel injector for buildup.
Jamming torque converter automatic transmission with final drive assembly.	Loosen the torque converter bolts. Turn the crankshaft by hand, holding the pulley or flywheel.

Broken crankshaft.	Inspect the crankshaft. Repair if necessary.
