Air injection system

Removal procedure

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove decorative cover. See «Decorative cover» in this section.







3. Disconnect the MAF sensor connector (mass air flow).
4. Remove air cleaner assembly screws.
5. Loosen the turbocharger intake duct bolt and remove the clip.
6. Remove the air cleaner assembly and turbocharger duct.
7. Loosen the charge air cooler intake pipe bolts.
8. Remove the charge air cooler intake pipe.





9. Disconnect the crankcase breather hose (PCV) and a clamp from the intake elbow of the turbocharger.
10. Remove the turbocharger intake manifold.
11. Remove the turbocharger outlet port.
12. Remove the clips from the charge air cooler inlet/outlet and the clip from the electronic throttle control side (ETC)
13. Remove the charge air cooler in/out hoses.

Installation procedure

1. Install the charge air cooler inlet/outlet hoses.
2. Install the intake manifold and turbocharger outlet port.





3. Install the charge air cooler intake pipe.
4. Install the air cleaner assembly and turbocharger inlet.

Tighten the charge air cooler intake pipe bolts to 8 Nm (70.8 lb-in).

Tighten the air cleaner assembly screws to 6 Nm (53 lb-ft). Tighten the turbocharger intake duct bolt to 3 Nm (26.6 lb-in).
