Removal / installation procedure

Important: When changing the engine oil, reset the engine oil service before changing using the scan tool.

1. Remove the bottom engine cover. Follow Section 9N, Frame and lower bodywork.

2. Drain the engine oil.

3. Remove the oil pan. follow the paragraph «oil pan» in this section.



4. Remove the coarse oil filter with washer.

Tighten

Tighten the coarse oil filter bolt to 11 Nm (97.4 lb-in).

Tighten the coarse oil filter bracket bolt (base plate outer bolt) up to 35 Nm (25.8 lb-ft).
