Removal procedure
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the decorative cover. See «Decorative cover» in this section.
3. Remove the hoses and air ducts of the charge air system. See «Air injection system» in this section.
4. Disconnect the solenoid valve connector and vacuum inlet/outlet hoses from the EGR solenoid valve.
5. Disconnect the positive crankcase ventilation hose (PCV) from the intake manifold of the turbocharger.
6. Unscrew the bolts of the forced crankcase ventilation valve (PCV) from the positive crankcase ventilation valve adapter (PCV).
7. Remove the crankcase ventilation valve.
8. Remove the heat shield from the turbocharger. See Section 1F1, Engine Controls - 2.0 Diesel.
9. Remove the PCV valve adapter (PCV) with adapter gasket.
Installation procedure
1. Install the PCV valve adapter (PCV) with new gasket.
Tighten the PCV valve adapter bolts (PCV) up to 11 Nm (97.4 lb-in).
2. Crankcase ventilation valve (PCV).
Tighten the crankcase breather valve bolts (PCV) up to 11 Nm (97.4 lb-in).
