Removal procedure
1. Remove the bottom engine cover. Follow Section 9N, Frame and lower bodywork.
2. Drain the engine oil.
3. Remove the oil pan. follow the paragraph «oil pan» in this section.
4. Remove oil filter. See «Coarse oil filter» in this section.
5. Remove the crankshaft balancer.
Installation procedure
Important: When changing the engine oil, reset the engine oil service before changing using the scan tool.
1. Install the crankshaft balancer.
Tighten
Tighten the crankshaft balancer bolts to 55 Nm (46 lb-ft).
2. Rotate the crankshaft to align the crankshaft balancer to the 3 points on the gears.
Attention! Do not disassemble the crankshaft balancer. Otherwise vibration of the engine and a body is possible.
