Withdrawal procedure
Attention! Make sure all components are cool. Then do the job.
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove decorative cover. See Section 1B, "Engine mechanical system - 2.0 Diesel".
3. Remove the hoses and ducts of the charge air system. See Section 1B, "Engine mechanical system - 2.0 Diesel".
4. Remove the crankcase breather valve (PCV) and adapter. See Section 1B, "Engine mechanical system - 2.0 Diesel".
5. Remove the glow plug heat shield.
6. Disconnect the glow plug wiring harness.
7. Remove glow plug.
Note: If it is necessary to remove the No. 3 and No. 4 glow plugs, the turbocharger must first be removed.
Installation procedure
1. Install glow plug.
Tighten
Tighten the glow plug to 9 Nm (79.7 lb-in).
2. Install the glow plug heat shield.
Tighten
Tighten the glow plug heat shield bolt to 20 Nm (14.8 lb-ft).
Tighten the glow plug heat shield nut (engine lift bracket fixing nut) up to 28 Nm (20.6 lb-ft).
