Removal / installation procedure
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Disconnect the exhaust gas temperature sensor connector (EGT) 2.
3. Disconnect the diesel particulate filter high pressure hoses (DPF).
4. Remove diesel particulate filter (DPF) assembled.
Tighten
Tighten the fixing nuts of the diesel particulate filter (DPF) up to 30 Nm (22.1 lb-ft).
5. When replacing the diesel particulate filter (DPF) reset diesel particulate filter eeprom (DPF), using a diagnostic tool.
Recovery order
Attention! During diesel particulate filter regeneration (DPF) the exhaust gas system becomes very hot. To avoid fire or damage, raise the vehicle on a lift and create an inaccessible area around the exhaust system.
1. Warm up the engine.
2. Rebuild diesel particulate filter (DPF), using a diagnostic tool.
