Seat belts
The seat belts ensure the safety of the driver and passengers during sudden acceleration or deceleration of the vehicle.
Warning: Fasten your seat belt before every ride.
Persons not wearing seat belts in crashes pose a threat to all other passengers and themselves.
The seat belt is designed for use by only one person at a time. The seat belts are intended for persons 12 years of age or older and at least 150 cm tall.
It is necessary to periodically check all parts of the seat belts for damage and their functionality.
Damaged components should be replaced. After an accident, have the seat belts and the deployed belt tensioners replaced at a workshop.
Note: Make sure that the straps are not damaged by shoes or sharp objects and are not pinched. Keep dirt out of the belt retractor.
Seat belt reminder . See Seat belt reminder.
Driver and front passenger
The front seats are equipped with adjustable seats and backrests with height-adjustable head restraints, three-point seat belts and an additional passive restraint system (airbags).
Rear Passengers
The rear seat with two side seats and one central seat is equipped with three-point seat belts.
All outer passenger seats are equipped with lower anchors and upper top-tether anchorages on the rear side of the backrest for the installation of a child seat.
See Places where child seats can be installed.
Third row passengers
The seat of the third row has two seats, equipped with seat belts with a three-point lumbar-shoulder fastening.
Belt tension limiters
In the front seats, they reduce the load on the body by gradually releasing the seat belt in the event of a collision.
Belt tensioners
In the event of a frontal, side or rear impact of a certain severity, the front seat belts are tightened.
Warning: Unprofessional handling (e.g. when removing or installing belts or belt buckles) may cause the tensioners to engage and the associated risk of injury.
The activation of the seat belt tensioners is indicated by the lighting of the indicator.
See Airbag and seat belt pretensioner indicator.
Deployed belt tensioners must be replaced by a workshop. Belt tensioners are single acting devices.
Note: Do not use or install accessories or other items that may interfere with the operation of the belt tensioners.
Any modification to the components of the belt pretensioners is not permitted and will result in the loss of the vehicle's operating authorization.
