Warning: Do not place luggage or other cargo above the level of the front seats.
Do not allow passengers to sit in the rear compartment with the rear seatbacks folded down. Loose luggage or passengers sitting in the rear compartment can be thrown out of their seats or out of the vehicle in the event of a sudden stop or collision.
Folding the rear seat with the seat belts attached may damage the seat or the seat belts.
Before folding the rear seat, be sure to unfasten the seat belts and return them to their original position.
When folding in half or unfolding, make sure that the seat belts are not pinched by the seat. This could result in serious injury or death.
To get passengers in or out of third row seats, follow the steps below.
1. Make sure all three seat belts are loose and the front seatbacks are not tilted.
2. Insert the head restraints as far as they will go.
3. Pull forward the lever on the outside of the seatback and fold the seatback down.
4. The seat tilts forward automatically. When folded, it is held by gas-filled struts.
To return the rear seat to its original position:
1. Hook the seat belts into the holder to avoid pinching them.
2. Lower the rear seat cushion.
3. Fasten the rear seat cushion to the floor.
Make sure the rear seat cushion is secure by pulling it up and down.
4. Return the rear seatback to its original position. Make sure the rear seatback is secure by pulling it back and forth.
5. Remove the seat belts from the holder.
Warning: Do not put your feet or other body parts on the floor under the rear seat cushion when lowering it. This could result in serious injury.
Caution: Do not pull the lever while the seat is in the folded position. This operation may damage the lever or related parts.
