Position
Warning: Only ride with a properly adjusted head restraint. Removing or incorrectly adjusting the head restraints can result in severe head and neck injuries in the event of a collision. Before driving, make sure the head restraints are adjusted.
The center of the head restraint should be at eye level. If this is not possible, set the head restraint to the highest position for very tall people and lower the head restraint to the lowest position for short people.
Height adjustment
Pull the head restraints to adjust their position by lifting them up. Pull the head restraints down by pressing the lock release buttons to adjust their position by lowering them.
Horizontal adjustment
To tilt the front seat headrests:
1. Place in a vertical position, move all the way forward and release.
2. Gently move the head restraint forward until it is in the desired position.
Active head restraints
In the event of a rear impact, the active front seat head restraints automatically tilt forward. The head is more effectively supported by the head restraint, which reduces the risk of injury due to overstretching of the cervical vertebrae.
