The light switch with automatic lamp control has four positions that activate various lighting functions, which are listed below.
: All lights are off.
All lights turn off and the knob returns to its original AUTO position.
AUTO: Automatic switching on and off of the lights, which should light up in the position or depending on the ambient light. (Default position.)
: Turn on taillights, license plate lights, and dashboard lights.
: Low beam headlights and lights lit in the position turn on.
To turn off the automatic lamp control system, turn the light switch lever to the position "OFF". When released, the lever automatically returns to its normal position.
To turn on the automatic lamp control system, turn the light switch lever to the position "OFF" again.
Caution: For this function to work properly, do not place labels or any other object on the light sensor in front of the windshield defroster nozzles. This may cause the sensor to malfunction.
Attention: If you open the driver's door or press the UNLOCK button (unlock) on the remote control, the instrument panel lights will automatically turn on and stay on for 30 seconds.
Signaling device of inclusion of lanterns
If the ignition is off and the light switch is in the or position, the horn sounds when the driver's door is opened. However, the alarm is disabled if the lights are turned on again after they have been turned off during the horn.
Outdoor lighting function
The outdoor lighting function provides a certain period of outdoor lighting if there is not enough light outside. This function is activated when the external lamps are turned on by the automatic lamp control system when the ignition is switched off.
Proximity indicator
This function is activated when the light switch is in the position "AUTO", and there is not enough light outside.
After pressing the button "UNLOCK" on the vehicle entry remote control, the hazard warning lights flash twice, and the exterior lights automatically light up for 20 seconds.
Wiper related lighting
This function is activated when the light switch is in the position "AUTO".
If the windshield wipers operate for more than 8 cycles, the external lights will automatically turn on.
