CD player
When a CD is inserted, the display switches to the infotainment system and each time a CD is loaded, "File verification".
When playback starts, the track title and number appear on the display.
If you turn off the ignition or infotainment system while there is a CD in it, the CD remains in the player. If the ignition is turned on while there is a CD in the player, the Infotainment system must be turned on to play the CD. When the ignition and infotainment system are turned on, CD playback resumes from where it left off if it was the last audio source selected.
Small 8 cm CDs can be played using the adapter ring. Full size CDs and small CDs load the same way.
When playing a CD-R disc, the sound quality depends on the quality of the disc, the recording method, the quality of the music being recorded, and the condition of the disc used. There may be track skipping, difficulty finding tracks, and/or difficulty downloading and uploading. If such problems appear, check the CD-ROM surface. If the surface of the CD is damaged, such as cracked, broken, or scratched, the disc will not play correctly.
If the surface of the CD is dirty, refer to the CD care instructions.
If there is no visible damage, try another good quality disc.
Do not stick labels on the CD, it may get stuck in the player. When recording a disc on a personal computer and the need for marking, you should write on the non-working side of the disc with a marker.
Note: Labeling a CD, inserting more than one disc into the player at the same time, or trying to play a damaged disc may damage the player. When using a CD player, play only discs in good condition without labels, load one disc at a time, and do not place foreign objects, liquids or debris on the player or at the loading slot.
If an error message appears on the display, see below "CD Messages" (player messages).

MP3/WMA CD playback
MP3/WMA format
When recording an MP3/WMA disc on a personal computer:
- Burn MP3/WMA files to a CD-R disc.
- Do not record standard audio files and MP3/WMA files on the same disc.
- Files in MP3/WMA format must have the.mp3 or.wma extension, the player does not work with other extensions.
- Files can be recorded at various fixed bit rates. The infotainment system can display the song title, artist name, and album title recorded as ID3 tags version 1 and 2.
- Create a file system that makes it easy to find songs on the go. Organize songs into albums, with one folder per album. Each folder or album must contain no more than 18 songs.
- A multi-session MP3/WMA disc must be finalized. It's usually better to burn the entire disc.
The player can read and play up to 50 folders, 5 sessions, 999 files.
Long file and folder names use more hard disk space than necessary. To save disk space, limit the length of file and folder names. You can play a disc recorded in MP3/WMA format without using file packs. The system supports up to 8 folder levels, but a minimum number of folder levels is recommended so as not to make it too difficult to find a specific folder during playback. If the CD contains more than the allowed 50 folders, 5 sessions and 999 files, the player allows the disc to be accessed and navigated up to the last allowed file, and any positions above the maximum are ignored.
Root directory
The root directory is treated as a folder. If the root directory contains compressed audio files, the directory will be labeled ROOT. All files located in the root directory will be accessed first.
Empty directory or empty folder
If the root directory or folder is somewhere in a file structure that contains only folders and subpacks with no compressed files directly in them, the player moves to the next folder containing compressed audio files, and the empty folder is not displayed or given a number.
Missing folder
If the CD contains only compressed files, the files are placed in the root folder.
If the CD is recorded without folders, the next and previous folder function does not work.
The folder name is then shown on the infotainment system display as "ROOT".
If the CD contains only compressed files and no folders, all files are placed in the root folder. The folder name is then shown on the infotainment system display as "ROOT".
Playback order
Tracks are played in the following order:
- Playback starts from the first track in the root directory.
- After playing all the tracks in the root directory, the files are played in the order of their numbers.
- After playing the last track in the last folder, the player plays the first track in the first folder in the root directory again.
File system and names
The song title is displayed in ID3 tag format. If there is no ID3 tag song title, the infotainment system displays the file name without the extension (MP3/WMA).
Track names longer than 32 characters or 4 pages are truncated. The display does not show parts of the words on the last page of text and the file name extension.
Playing MP3/WMA files
With the ignition on, insert a CD into the CD player with the label facing up. The disc will be drawn in automatically, after which it will start loading and checking the files, then the display will show MP3 or WMA. The CD should start playing. When the battery is disconnected, you cannot insert a disc into the player.
When a new track starts playing, the track number and song title appear on the display.
