Security indicator
Works when the anti-theft system is on.
The anti-theft indicator turns off when the doors are unlocked with the key or remote control transmitter.
The anti-theft system indicator lights up when the doors are locked using the remote control or key.
Activation of door locks and anti-theft system
Inclusion
1. Close all windows.
2. Turn the ignition key to the LOCK position and remove the key.
3. Let all passengers get out of the vehicle.
4. Close the hood side and rear doors.
5. Press and release the button "LOCK" on the remote control.
The LED on the transmitter flashes once.
- All doors are locked.
- The hazard warning lights flash once.
- After about 30 seconds, the anti-theft protection mode is activated. If the key is in the ignition, the remote will not activate the anti-theft system.
Note: This system is activated even when the windows are open. Close all windows and doors before leaving the vehicle.
Note: If you press the button on the remote control "LOCK", and the hood, side doors and rear doors are not fully closed, the anti-theft system goes into the open state, and the anti-theft system indicator starts flashing quickly.
The anti-theft system enters the locked state when the hood, tailgate and side doors are fully closed.
In this state, the anti-theft system indicator lights up without flashing. If the button "LOCK" press after closing the hood, rear and side doors, the system goes into a locked state with a constantly lit indicator, bypassing the open state.
Note: The anti-theft system is activated after closing the doors manually or using the remote control.
1. Check that the anti-theft system indicator starts flashing slowly about 30 seconds after the system enters the locked state. If you press the button on the remote control "LOCK" the second time, the anti-theft system will activate immediately without a 30 second delay. The anti-theft indicator is located in the right sector of the clock.
Warning: Do not lock the vehicle if someone is left in it. It is forbidden to leave children and animals unattended in the car. Inside the car, the temperature rises very quickly and can significantly exceed the temperature outside. This can cause serious injury or death.
Sound signal
If you try to open the hood, block or tailgate without using the key or the unlock button on the remote control, the system turns on the visual (flashing external headlights) and sound alarm.
Turning off the audible alarm:
- Press the button on the remote "LOCK" or "UNLOCK".
- Unlock the driver's door with the key. (For some country versions, this action does not turn off the horn. To turn off the sound, press LOCK or UNLOCK.) If the tampering attempt continues, the buzzer will periodically turn on again.
If the system does not work as described, contact a workshop to have it checked. We recommend contacting an authorized service center.
Siren
If your vehicle is equipped with the optional Thatcham anti-theft system, it must be equipped with an intrusion sensor, a tilt sensor, and a glass break sensor.
Using these sensors, the anti-theft system monitors the situation and, in case of detection of intrusion into the passenger compartment, theft of wheels or unauthorized towing of the car, turns on the siren.
To turn off the siren:
- Press the button on the remote "LOCK" or "UNLOCK".
If the threat of unauthorized entry persists, the siren periodically turns on again.
Note: If the door is opened with the key when the alarm is on, the siren will sound. Open the door with the button "UNLOCK" on the key fob.
Note: Tap on the keyhole or heat the key if the door lock does not open due to frost in cold weather.
Warning: Do not use the remote key fob to lock the car doors if someone is left in the car.
The remote control signal activates the anti-theft alarm, so if movement is detected in the car, the siren will turn on.

If you want to disable the additional anti-theft system, press the button on the roof lining. The indicator of the disabled anti-theft system will turn on.
When the optional anti-theft system is re-enabled by pressing the button again, the disabled anti-theft system indicator will turn off.
Unlocking door locks and anti-theft system
Shutdown
1. Unlock the driver's door with the key. or
2. Press and release the button "UNLOCK" on the remote control.
- The LED on the transmitter flashes once.
- All doors are unlocked.
- The hazard warning lights flash twice.
- The anti-theft protection mode is removed.
In certain country versions, unlocking the driver's door with the key will activate the siren. Click the button "UNLOCK" on the remote control to unlock the door locks.
Repeated automatic locking of door locks
If no doors are opened or the engine is not started within 30 seconds after disabling the anti-theft system using the remote control, all doors will automatically lock and the anti-theft system will reactivate.
Type 2
Inclusion
To activate the system, press the lock button on the remote control.
The anti-theft system is activated 30 seconds after locking with the remote control.
To activate the system, make sure all doors, hood and trunk are locked.
To prevent the alarm from sounding when the tailgate is opened, press the tailgate release button above the license plate. The remote control must be within 1 m of the tailgate.
Note: On vehicles with a keyless entry system, unlocking the tailgate with the tailgate release button will also unlock all doors if the remote control is within 1 m of the rear bumper trim. After closing the tailgate, be sure to press the lock button on the remote control to secure the vehicle.
Shutdown
To deactivate the system, do one of the following:
Press the unlock button on the remote control.
Walk with the remote control closer than 1 m to the front door and press the button on the door handle.
Start the engine.
