1. Turn the ignition key to the LOCK/OFF position (LOCK/OFF) and wait until the engine compartment has cooled down.
2. Clean the cap and top of the reservoir.
3. Unscrew the plug and remove it by pulling it straight up.
4. Wipe the dipstick with a clean cloth.
5. Replace the plug and screw it tight.
6. Remove the cap again and check the level with the dipstick.
Diesel engine and 3.0L petrol engine
When the engine is warm, the level should be at the MAX mark. With a cold engine, the level on the dipstick should be between the MIN and MAX marks.
2.4 Gasoline
When the engine is warm, the level should be in the HOT zone. When the engine is cold, the level on the dipstick should be in the COLD zone.
Attention: Even very slight contamination can lead to failure or improper operation of the steering system.
Care must be taken to ensure that contamination does not enter the liquid in the tank through the hole closed by the tank lid or through the bayonet level indicator.
Attention: Do not operate the vehicle without the required amount of power steering fluid.
This can damage the power steering system and lead to costly repairs.
Warning: Overfilling may cause fire or peeling of paintwork.
Do not overfill the tank.
