Rack opening for the steering column in the dashboard

Removal procedure

1. Remove the main hood latch release handle. See section 9R, «Front body».

2. Loosen the screw and remove the steering column opening pillar in the instrument panel.

Installation procedure

1. Install the steering column stay in the dashboard.

Tighten

Tighten the column screw of the steering column opening in the dashboard to a torque of 2 Nm (18 lb-in).

2. Install the main hood latch release handle. See section 9R, «Front body».
