Removal procedure
1. Raise and secure the vehicle. See Part 0B. General information.
2. To keep the wheel balanced, you need to mark the position of the front wheel and hub relative to each other. Remove the wheel. Follow Section 2E, Tires and wheels.
3. Remove the caliper brake hose hollow bolt. Remove sealing rings.
4. To prevent leakage and contamination of the brake fluid, it is necessary to clog the holes in the caliper and brake hose.
5. Loosen the caliper guide pin bolts.
6. Remove support.
Note: Whenever disengaging a brake caliper from its mount with the brake hose connected, secure the caliper with strong wire or similar. Failure to do so will cause the flexible brake hose to carry the weight of the caliper, causing the brake hose to break and leak brake fluid.
Installation procedure
1. Install the caliper guide pin bolt.
Tighten
Tighten the caliper guide pin bolts to 44 Nm (32 lb-ft).
2. Attach the brake hose to the caliper with a hollow bolt and o-rings.
Tighten
Tighten the bolt securing the brake hose to the caliper to 44 Nm (32 lb-ft).
3. Align the marks that were made when removing the front wheel and install the wheel. Follow Section 2E, Tires and wheels.
4. Lower the car.
5. Fill the master cylinder reservoir with clean brake fluid to the correct level.
6. Remove air from the brake system. See Part 4A. Hydraulic brakes.
