The heater and fan assembly regulates the air flow from the air intake for further processing and distribution.
In the heater heat exchanger, heat from the engine coolant is transferred to the incoming air.
The temperature damper controls the amount of air passing through the heat exchanger of the heater. In addition, the temperature damper regulates the air temperature by controlling the mixing of heated and outside air.
The mode damper regulates the flow and distribution of the treated air to the air ducts for the interior heater and windows.
The heating and ventilation panel mounted on the console contains the following elements:
Rotary temperature control knob
1. Rotary temperature control knob
- The regulator controls the cable.
- To increase the temperature of the air entering the passenger compartment, the knob is turned to the right, to the red sector of the regulator.

- Turns on the electric fan at one of four speeds.
- In the OFF position, the fan is turned off.
- It works completely independently of the mode switch that controls the heated glass damper and from the temperature control knob.
- Changes the fan speed in all modes and at any position of the temperature controller.

- Driven by an electric motor.
- Controls the distribution of air between the windshield, instrument panel and floor vents.
Air conditioner button
(If the vehicle is equipped with an air conditioning system)
- Controls the air conditioner.
- Pressing the button turns on the air conditioner. However, if the fan control knob is in the off position, the air conditioning system is off regardless of the position of the air conditioner switch.
Ventilation switch
- Driven by an electric motor.
- When switched off, outside air is supplied.
- When the button is pressed and the signal lamp is on, the air recirculation in the passenger compartment is working.
