Tailgate glass pillar

Removal procedure

1. Raise and support the tailgate glass in the open position.

2. Pry up and partially release the spring clips on the column using a small flat bladed tool.

3. Detach the upper end of the strut from the hinge.

4. Detach the lower end of the strut from the hinge.

5. Remove the pillar from the tailgate glass.

Installation procedure

Note: Direct contact of dissimilar metals can lead to rapid corrosion. Use proper fasteners to prevent premature corrosion.

1. Install the strut to the tailgate glass.

2. Attach the top end of the rack to the hinge. Press it down to fully install it in place.

3. Attach the lower end of the rack to the hinge. Press it down to fully install it in place.

4. Remove the support from under the tailgate glass.

5. Close tailgate glass.
