Removal procedure

1. Remove the door splash guard. See «splash guard door» in this section.

2. Loosen the screws on the outside rear door handle.



3. Unscrew the screw of the outer door handle through the hole in the end of the door.



4. Remove the outside door handle by sliding it back and pulling it away from the door.

5. Remove gasket if necessary.

Installation procedure

1. Install gasket if necessary.

Note: Direct contact of dissimilar metals can lead to rapid corrosion. Use proper fasteners to prevent premature corrosion.

2. Install the handle by placing it in the desired position and sliding it back, making sure to engage the outside door handle.



3. Tighten the screws on the outside door handle.

Tighten

Tighten the outside door handle screws to 4.5 Nm (40 lb-in).
