Tailgate Latch Retainer

Removal procedure

1. Open tailgate.

2. Remove the rear floor panel extension.

3. Unscrew the bolts securing the latch retainer.

4. Pull out the lock.

Installation procedure

Note: Direct contact of dissimilar metals can lead to rapid corrosion. Use proper fasteners to prevent premature corrosion.

1. Install latch retainer and tighten bolts.

Tighten

Tighten the tailgate latch retainer bolts to 10 Nm (88 lb-in).

2. Install the rear floor panel extension.

3. Close tailgate.
