Lock of the open position of the door

Front door shown, back door similar.

Removal procedure

1. Remove the door splash guard. See «splash guard door» in this section.

2. Remove the bolts on the door and body.

3. Remove the door open lock.

Installation procedure

Note: Direct contact of dissimilar metals can lead to rapid corrosion. Use proper fasteners to prevent premature corrosion.

1. Install the door opener to the door and body with bolts.

Tighten

Tighten the bolt securing the latch of the open position of the door to the body with a torque of 20 Nm (15 lb-ft).

Tighten the bolts securing the latch of the open position of the door to the body with a force of 9 Nm (80 lb-in).

2. Install the door splash guard. See «splash guard door» in this section.
